Before your hub can go live, EMIS (Optum) must activate EPS and GP Connect which will take place on a training day. Before the training day can be booked with EMIS the following pre-requisites must be in place:
- New Prescribing Cost Centre (PCC) Code and Spurious Codes requested via ICB for PCN
- Smartcard Positions created against PCC
- Create an RA position for PCN (to assign Smartcard Positions to PCN users)
- Data Sharing Agreements submitted to EMIS
- ICO Registration – https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/data-protection-fee/register/ (required for the DSPT
- DSPT Toolkit – https://www.dsptoolkit.nhs.uk/ for new PCC
- Sign GP Connect National Data Sharing Arrangement – https://apply.ndsp.gpconnect.nhs.uk/
- Send GP Connect DSA Confirmation to EMIS – uk.deliveryops@optum.com
- Create a prescribing user in EMIS and assign a smartcard position (for testing EPS)
- Register a Spine Dummy Patient
- Data Sharing Agreements activated by PCN Hub and member Practices
- Book EMIS EPS Training (when you are ready)
