- Add Trading Partner and Organisation EDI details to EMIS Workflow Configuration
To Enable Online Test Request (orders) from Hub
- Order Ordering System (Clinisys ICE or EMIS tQuest)
- Complete a QF463 Online Test Request Form
- Activate Anglia Test Requests (ICE) or Indico Test Requests (tQuest) in EMAS Manager – EMIS will add the Provider Details (from details in QF463 form)
- Laboratory to set up Connection to EMIS
- Provide GP User account details to the Laboratory
- Configure User Accounts in EMIS (EMAS Manager)
Request MESH Mailbox
Check EMIS does not already have a MESH mailbox – only a single MESH mailbox can exist in EMIS Web

Request an EDI code from here.
Request MESH and EDI details from NHS Partner Pathology department
You will need their Lab Name, ODS code, MESH mailbox, EDI Code and Freepart Code for the QF976 form:

Enable Pathology Links in EMIS – QF976 Form
Complete QF976 form with all the relevant details in the Organisation Details section and then complete the details in the Pathology Links Information section for both the Lab (above) and your own organisation and send back to EMIS.
Add Trading Partner and Organisation EDI details to EMIS Workflow Configuration
Once you have been informed from EMIS the above has been set up, the next step is to set the Pathology Lab up as a Trading Partner in EMIS.
Navigate to EMIS Bubble > Workflow > Workflow Manager – Config – Trading Partners. Enter the Trading Partner Details (select Laboratory Links as Trading Partner Type)

In Messages add the Message Types along with the Message Version, the Trading Partner Cipher (EDI Number + Freepart Number), check Linked and click on OK:

Set up the following 3 Message Types:

Once completed, the PCN Hub should be in a position to receive blood results into Workflow Manager from the Pathology Lab.
